This leisurely tour takes you from the campsite eastwards along the state border of North Rhine-Westphalia to Lower Saxony – past the "Ostenuther Kiesteiche" nature reserve on the edge of the Weser lowlands with its farmland and green spaces stretching northwards. The route continues to Möllenbeck, a district of the Lower Saxon town of Rinteln. The former Möllenbeck Abbey is one of the most important architectural monuments in the Weser Hills. Built between 1478 and 1505 in the late Gothic style on the site of a previously burnt-down predecessor building, it is considered one of the best-preserved late medieval monastery complexes in Germany. Today, the abbey is the property of the church and is used by the local congregation in many ways. We offer you perfect wellness and relaxation for your nature-friendly camping holidays. In summer, parents can relax on the 500-meter-long sandy beach, while the children go swimming in the 25 hectare bathing lake or travel to the pirate island for adventure. Three great playgrounds with jumping pillow and mud area, a football field, two gaming rooms and children‘s entertainment during the summer holidays, let many children dream of the next holiday at our campsite after their stay. If you book in time, you get a pitch overlooking the lake. All sports lovers can enjoy the water ski facility , which is also located nearby. The varied landscape is ideal for extensive hikes and bike tours. Visit attractions in the area on your own, such as the monastery Möllenbeck, the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument or the Dinopark Münchehagen. If you do not have your own caravan or want to go spontaneously without a lot of luggage, our rental accommodations offer a comfortable alternative. Comfortable electric travel: Charge your electric car at our 11 kW e-charging stations directly on site and enjoy a vacation that combines comfort and closeness to nature.
