Enjoy bathing and surfing on the Stemmer lake in the middle of beautiful nature. Exciting playgrounds invite to play and our leisure activities for children with and without supervision provide fun and adventure. Our little guests can enjoy time with their parents or find new playmates, and then explore nature together. Free time sports enthusiasts of every age group will have a great time at our water ski and wake boarding facility in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. Of course, you can take your family dog with you into the camping holiday, because your faithful companion is very welcome to us. Camping with dog - your family dog is welcome on our dogfriendly campsite, on all pitches and in some of our rental properties! BOOK NOW CHECK AVAILABILITY BLOG Camping with dog Of course, you can bring your family dog along on your camping holiday, as your loyal companion is very welcome on our campsite. A maximum of two dogs per pitch is allowed. Some of our rental accommodations are also available for stays with pets – as a guest in these, you can request bowls and dog beds if needed. We have two dog beaches at our lake where your four-legged friends can run free without a leash, and of course, they are welcome to go into the water. Next to the campsite, there is a large dog meadow of around 5,000 m². It is not fenced, and dogs are allowed to run and play off leash there. Our dog shower is located at Shower House 1. Dog food is available in the mini-market, and you’ll find dog waste bags opposite the reception. Important information: Unfortunately, dogs are only allowed for overnight stays. Walking paths and suitable bathing places for dogs Long walking path Short walking path Swimming area for dogs As we emphasise a good coexistence of humans and animals, we ask for the following: Please remember that there are children and adults who are afraid of dogs. Put your dog on a leash and do not let it run free, even on your stand. Please take special care of children, a dog can be very dangerous for them. Should your dog ever do its business on the campsite, please remove it immediately. Your dog can cool down at our dog beach. Please make sure your dog does not leave the dog beach on its own. From 15th of March to 15th of June dogs must also be kept on a leash outside the campsite (breeding and settling time). If you want to take a short and eventful Weser cycle tour at the weekend, you should visit the idyllic Veltheim. Just the thing for families with children and nature lovers in search of peace and quiet. We recommend the Outdooractive app for hiking, cycling and more. The small route near Varenholz Castle leads from our Kalletal camping park, past the Stemmer See lake, along the southern side of the Weser. The highlight of the tour is the Weser ferry Varenholz-Veltheim, which makes it possible to cross the Weser with the historic high-wire ferry on weekends and public holidays. There is room for up to ten people on the ferry. Ferry times from April to October: Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. On the other side of the Weser, the cycle tour continues in the flat countryside towards Veltheim. Here you will notice the free-standing Veltheim windmill from 1903, whose stone mill tower stands out against the surrounding fields and flowering meadows in summer.
