Porta Westfalica
± 13 kilometres away
Porta Westfalica is a city that has preserved a village character in its individual districts. The name of the city is the only Latin city name in Germany and means Westphalian Gate. The name goes back to the breakthrough of the Weser between the Wiehengebirge and the Wesergebirge in the north-eastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Here in the breakthrough valley you can enjoy the picturesque idyll of a beautiful landscape, which houses several natural reserves. Let yourself be inspired by many sights, such as the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument.
