We have invested a lot in the infrastructure of the Wifi network in recent years to provide you with the best possible internet connection. Our wireless access points and powerful network devices have the same goal: to extend the reception capabilities and amplify the WLAN signal into remote areas of the campsite. The area-wide network at our campsite is designed for up to 500 end devices simultaneously. Our contractual input power with our network provider EWE Glasfaser is 200 MBit. High performance: Our contracted input speed with our network provider, Sewikom Glasfaser, is 2000 Mbps. Comprehensive coverage: Our wireless access points and high-performance network equipment extend coverage and boost the Wi-Fi signal to even the most remote areas of the campsite. Capacity: The network covering our campsite is designed for up to 5000 simultaneous users. Tips for your best internet signal Please make sure you are connected to our "Campingpark Kalletal" Wi-Fi network. Check your connection: A Wi-Fi symbol should appear in the top right corner of your screen. Measure your bandwidth: Check your bandwidth at any time with a speed test. Help with problems: If your internet connection isn't working right away, we've summarized the most important points for you. You can find information about potential sources of interference and how to resolve Wi-Fi connection problems on our help page. What are the sources of interference on the campsite? The network is weather-dependent – strong wind and rain have a negative effect on the connection. Are there trees, walls or caravans in the way? You can find out exactly where the masts are located on the attached map. Are you using an outdated terminal device that does not have a good antenna and therefore a weaker transmission power? Other electronic devices such as microwaves can interfere with radio signals. What do you have to do if you don't have WiFi? Connection is best when a Wifi mast is visible in the direct vicinity. Use a Wifi repeater or extender to pick up and amplify the Wifi signal. Please do not park the caravan directly in front of a Wifi mast so as not to interfere with the Wifi. The campsite is completely occupied and every guest uses WiFi. How much bandwidth is left per user? We have not set a limit per user. So the guests get up to 50 Mbps download. However, if the entire campsite is occupied and all guests are streaming or using Wifi access at the same time, each user is automatically throttled down by our router. Therefore, we cannot say exactly how much bandwidth each user has. Campingpark Kalletal – Wifi system If you still do not have Wifi connection, please contact our reception directly. From our camping park the route leads along the southern side of the Weser, past the "Schlosssee" lake with the Kalletal water skiing and wakeboarding facility, towards Erder. On your way to this tranquil Weser village, you first cross a beautiful piece of woodland, followed by an unobstructed view of the Weser river. Once you have reached Erder, you continue close to the Weser to the idyllic East Westphalian town of Vlotho. Here you cross a bridge that takes you to the other side of the river and continue on the official section of the Weser Cycle Path to Eisbergen. From here you pass a bridge over the Weser and continue your tour towards Stemmen. On the way, you will always have nice opportunities to take a break and enjoy the great view. After starting at the campsite, you will circle the 8 hectare large castle lake with the Kalletal water ski facility. The following straight track between Varenholz and Erder is surrounded by wonderful woods. Once you arrive at Erder, you are led directly to the distillery in the old ferry house at the Weser river. Built as ferry house in 1925, it was converted into an guesthouse 40 years later. Since 2016 the former restaurant has been a distillery for fine fruit brandies and liqueurs. The small route near Varenholz Castle leads from our Kalletal camping park, past the Stemmer See lake, along the southern side of the Weser. The highlight of the tour is the Weser ferry Varenholz-Veltheim, which makes it possible to cross the Weser with the historic high-wire ferry on weekends and public holidays. There is room for up to ten people on the ferry. Ferry times from April to October: Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. On the other side of the Weser, the cycle tour continues in the flat countryside towards Veltheim. Here you will notice the free-standing Veltheim windmill from 1903, whose stone mill tower stands out against the surrounding fields and flowering meadows in summer.
